The Kansas City Chiefs have cut RB Larry Johnson, one day after his suspension ended.
The move comes two weeks after Johnson belittled coach Todd Haley in a series of Twitter posts and used gay slurs with reporters in the team's locker room.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Johnson was second on the team's all-time rushing list with 6,090 yards. A group of fans had petitioned the team last week not to allow Johnson to gain the 75 yards he needed break the team's rushing record.
Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I think he has a few good years left. But he needs a Parcels/Belichick
type coach.
I think alot of the problem in KC is....Haley hasn't earned the respect of the players.
Till he does that. They aren't going to play hard for him.
Houston is in the market for a back. The Jets also.
Rex maybe would be a good coach for him.

If anyone is even pondering asking "The Question", the Answer is simply no way in hell.
You know damn well what I am talking about."There are 3 things that sell in America:
Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

I bet the Jets pick him up. Hes a good back, with a terrible personality.

I was thinking of teams that will be making playoff pushes or are in the playoff picture already that could use him and there are not many.
Remember, wherever he goes it will not likely be as a starter, but to be a solid 10 carries a game or something.
Of course some non-playoff teams may be interested as well.
Maybe Seattle, Washington, New England, Cleveland, Houston? Who the hell knows ... not a lot of need out there really.

After seeing the Eagles not make it on 3 and 4th and 1 they could use a back but they already have Vick on the roster as a player with a checker past."CCthebest" wrote:

Seattle however did release James and have a need, not sure they need a jerk but their play off changes are fading on them.

Re: Kansas City Chiefs cut disgruntled RB Larry Johnson
Johnson has had a beef with the Chiefs for some time and probably them with him too.
He needs a new start and hopefully he can pull a Ced Benson.
Seattle has been worried about J.Jones basically since they singed him and he couldn't put numbers up like he did against them for one game when he played for the Boys. LJ is worth a nibble.
Put him on a TO leash.
Someone mentioned Cleveland, they need help also.
If LJ is smart he will stay away.
