CHARLOTTE – Jordan Gross isn’t the only big-name Carolina Panthers lineman making a switch this season. The team is contemplating moving Julius Peppers from left defensive end, where he’s played the last six seasons, to right defensive end, the spot Mike Rucker occupied for nearly a decade....

Julius Peppers spent time practicing at right defensive end during the Carolina Panthers' first mini-camp Friday....
Re: Julius Peppers changing positions after 6 seasons?
Well he could always play the LDE spot here :D

Who needs him, we have an enhanced Ray Edwards.
:P
Re: Julius Peppers changing positions after 6 seasons?
He has obviously lost a step.
He can now prey on slow, less athletic Right Tackles.
Good move for him, I would think.
Strahan has made a living over there...so did Kevin Greene, just to name a couple.
Our boys made the right move.
Absolutely cannot wait to see our #69 blow past the line, cause a fumble, Vikes recover...the Dome is rocking, and Purple Jesus to takes over!

He seemed to have bulked up fast, leading me to wonder if the "enhancement" is a result of steroids.
I certainly hope not.

Where are your facts that he lost a step? Talking out the old jiggly butt again huh.
I understand that you are excited about Allen but his supporting staff is better than Peppers. Carolina has yet to fix their line issues. At least Allen hat Tamba Hali playing on the other side. Peppers played last year with a disintrested Kris Jenkins, and no one else on the d-line.

Kevon, if nothing else, you are loyal to your causes.
;D
Fact of the matter is he is probably moving to the RDE position vice the LDE position not because he lost a step, but he lost some strenght.

Or maybe they heard that Vikings fans wanted Allen to move so they figured what the heck, lets give that theory a try.
