Re: Julius Jones to Seahags
Alexander is slowing down, this is a good move by Seattle...he'll probably be in the two back system for a couple more seasons then, just like he was with Barber.

Re: Julius Jones to Seahags
I can just see all the Seahag fans now......
Why are they bringing guys like this in?
Alexander is just having another off year.
He was the league MVP a few years back.
If they let him go I am gonna call for the HC's head.
Fans just crack me up sometimes.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

SHAUN'S RELEASE LOOMING?
http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
Rumors circulated during the Scouting Combine that the Seahawks were poised to dump running back Shaun Alexander, the 2005 NFL MVP.
The Seahawks wouldn't even acknowledge the rumors.
And now that they've signed T.J. Duckett and Julius Jones to eight-figure deals, that figures to change.
As John Clayton of ESPN.com observes, "The Seahawks decided to keep Alexander until they found replacements and now they have two potential replacements."

I am sure some people in Seattle want Alexander to be a Seahawk for life. I would if he had played for the vikings. I don't think the problem is alexander but the loss of Hutch. Alexander could still be a very effective back for someone, although he doesn't seem to run as hard as he once did, the fire seems to be gone.

I agree Hutch probably hurt thier running game but I don't think that is the only reason Alexander isn't producing."Marrdro" wrote:

Judging by the two resent signings, the Seachickes don't think so either.

One time MVP relegated to the chopping block.

I think that maybe Hutch had more to do with Alexanders success than Alexander did. I am not totally convinced that Alexander was ever truly a top 5 back he just played in a system that was perfect for him, kinda like chestor taylor."jmcdon00" wrote:
