Judge Rules in NFLPA's Favor, Lockout lifted
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81f77c4f/article/judge-nelson-rules-for-players-lockout-to-be-lifted?module=breaking_news
I'm sure more will come soon, this is breaking news.
They're saying the NFL will likely appeal, but that will take at least a little bit of time. Coaches should jump on this to get in touch with players and get at least SOME form of playbook sent out to everyone.

Very good news.

Still some hurdles to overcome though. The NFL reportedly will seek an immediate stay of the implementation of the decision.
If the stay is granted, the lockout would not be lifted until, at the earliest, after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit issues a ruling in the case. The players surely would request expedited consideration of the appeal.
If Judge Nelson refuses to grant the stay, the NFL surely would seek a stay from the appeals court.
If neither court gives the league the stay, the doors will be forced open, soon.

Because it at least allows for players access to coaches and facilities if the stay is not granted.

And you think the players will show up AND work out? I sure don't. I think they'll show up, mill around a bit and then leave.

Anybody else wondering about the timing of this...I mean, the draft is 2 days away! It would be awful convenient to be able to trade players again for a few days!!

On the other hand, it would be pretty F'd in the A if Free Agency started tomorrow or Thursday and clubs were whealing and dealing/whining and dining WHILE they also paid attention to the draft!!! No sleeping allowed for Spielman and Co.Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!
