Josh Cribbs Insulted by Brownies offer

    http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2010/01/josh_cribbs_and_agents_insulte.html

Seriously $1.4 million a year for the player who is responsible for 90% of your offense/ST. He did everything for the Browns this year. He is one of the very very few bright spots on the squad and they are going to low ball his ass just to save some dough. I hope he walks, he deserves much more than Roscoe Parrish (3.2 million per year).

Such a shame. I really like Cribbs and I think he can be their Percy Harvin type player. I really think he can expand his role on the Browns even more. But if they are going to low ball him I hope he can move to a new team.

    PAY THE MAN!

Seriously. This guy has been killing it for the Browns all year, and in past years, and they go and offer him $1.5million? I mean really. Give him $5million at least. He should get at least Hester money and 1.5 isnt even close

That's how you know morons run the Browns.

He will be gone if they do not drastically bump their offer.

Ah... just read his twitter account and was slightly puzzled by what he said. Makes sense though.

LOL, you crack me up my friend.

I wonder why they low balled him? Couple of things that come to mind....

    a. New Scheme. Why pay a cat alot of money if he isn't gonna be productive in the new scheme.

    b. Use Money elsewhere. Maybe they are going to spend on a glut of FA's this year. If I was a GM/HC looking to help a young QB grow, I would probably opt to pay one or two of these guys before I would Cribbs.

    Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos
    Vincent Jackson, San Diego Chargers
    Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys
    Steve Breaston, Arizona Cardinals
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

SKOL! Cheers Marrdro!! But, I tend to disagree...

Things are going to be different this offseason/free agency. Most of the good 4 and 5 year FAs signed last year, and now it takes 6 years to be an UFA! Marshall won't go anywhere without a trade too...I'm guessing at least a 2nd, but who knows? Look what the Cowboys gave up for Roy! Same could happen with all those guys. And, they're going to want 5 or 6+ per year, where Cribbs would probably be happy with 3.5 or so. Plus, he's versatile And Productive. Shouldn't be hard to find a use for him in any scheme.

That's certainly not Mangini or Holmgren...must be referring to Goodell.

The guy has 3 years left on his contract... three YEARS! Why on earth would you believe the Browns would give him a huge contract increase? They're under no pressure at all to do so, he's not going anywhere any time soon.
The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.
