GLENDALE, Ariz. - Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson was injured on a facemask tackle at the end of a 78-yard pass play late in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Johnson broke free down the left sideline after the short pass. The Cardinals' Antrel Rolle grabbed Johnson by the facemask and the running back's head was twisted as he fell out of bounds at the Arizona 8. He lay motionless for a moment, but eventually got up and left the field under his own power.

Rolle was called for a personal foul on the play.

That must have been a hell of a scare for Chiefs teammates & fans. Will the NFL fine Rolle for a play like that?

However, if they loose LJ too down in KC, they are really strugglin :/

I watched that. It looked truely scary. I thought he almost ripped his head of first. And he were on the ground for a long time not moving at all, with his teammates sitting on one knee looking in to the ground.

I think everyone in the stadium were relieved when he finally got up, even though they played in Arizona.

LOL! Too many Johnsons in pro football. But if you watched the game, you should have known there wasn't any facemask holds on Brad.

Sort of makes you wonder why they didn't eject him after such a
blatant facemask?

living in ohio thats just not very possible for me. so i have to spend my sunday on nfl.com gamecast and bererker yell. actually i got to see like the last 3 plays on the game on fox because the giants/redskins game was over.

That was freaking brutal. He was streaking down the sideline at almost full speed and Rolle just grabbed and pulled. His head went about 150 degrees. It was gross, and he's lucky he didn't break his neck.

I'm glad it isn't more serious than it is, because at least he's walking. I read on ESPN.com that he's having an MRI today, and he may miss some time. That was scary.

I think it is because he was just coming off of a block and grabbed anything he could to take him down. Antrel Rolle is a good corner, and hasn't really had any attitude or off the field issues like many guys from Miami, if he hadn't facemasked him he would have scored a touchdown, so I guess he helped his team, but still thats a baaad facemask. I honestly do not believe he was trying to injure him, but whatever, it is what it is, thank god he;s ok.
