Re: John Madden Retires
I would have been fine with this until I found out Chris Collinsworth will be his replacement.
Collinsworth is easily the worst broadcaster on TV (aside from Bryant Gumbel)

Nope, my dislike of him has nothing to do with Lord Dickhead."Marrdro" wrote:

I actually loved him back in the day when he actually broke a play down.
Then he got the "Telestrator" and even then (initially) he was still good.
Now he is just a parrot.
Echo's what the yutz's say in his ear most of the time. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: John Madden Retires
Thank God.
He was better in his younger years, but truth be told, it was brutal to watch him for the past five or so.
Horrible commentary.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: John Madden Retires
so Lord Favre must finally be retiring if Madden is retiring - woohoo
two donkeys out of the way at long last. Unless of course they bring Brett in to replace Madden for game commentary
;DTime spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

That was just part of PFT's january prediction that Madden would retire. None of that Collinsworth/Millen stuff has been reported as truth (yet).

Re: John Madden Retires
two seasons ago, I believe it was during a Colts MNF game, he rambled for 10 minutes about the kind of seafood he likes, and the fact that it tears his stomach up, but he loves it so much that he can't stop eating it...lol it was quite entertaining

Re: John Madden Retires
I must agree that the past 3-5 years you could see his age catching up to him.
I'm glad he's retiring but I did like him for many years.
