So Harrington will be the starting QB for the season I guess, why would he go there to be the starter for only 1 season though unless he only took a one year deal?
Better to start for one season or a part of a season than be the #3 QB in a town where they hate you, I'm thinking.

    =Z=
True, but I thought he would have better off going elsewhere, but the Dolphins really needed a QB with Gus gone and Daunte rehabbing in the Wal Mart parking lot.
Isn't there a Chinese restaurant around the corner, too?

I don't know if the Lions had many takers for Harrington. I wouldn't want him.

    =Z=
Didn't they want a 5th round pick for him earlier? And yes Daunte does the shuttle run from the front of the Chinese restaurant to the start of the Wal Mart parking lot. He turned the laudramat into a make shift weightroom. lol

I wanted to keep Harrington in the division.. Seeing as even with our poor defence over the past few years (last season notwithstanding) we could put the hurt on him.. Oh well.

Why would they even offer a 6th round pick for him?? He is soooooo bad! He ranks right up there with Akili Smith and Ryan Leaf as one of the biggest busts!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I guess that the Dolphins didn't want to be totally left hanging out to dry if for some strange reason Daunte isn't ready for the start of the season like they hope...Joey might eventually pan out...he DOES have talent...it just wasn't properly developed by the Lions!

I don't know man, they gave him everything around him and mooch has done some good things with other QBs. I think he was just overhyped in college and then taken way too high. Granted he had young talent around him, but he still had talent and he just couldn't do anything with it. If I'm the lions I just chalk this up as a loss and part ways any way I can. To get a 6th round pick for him would be a win!

With Miami's O-Line not being any good, Harrington will suck there as well. I feel the "Golfins" nickname will remain intact.

If you think he will do bad with the Fins, what do you think a 6'4 250lb QB with a bad wheel will do behind that horrid line? If Pepp does play next season, he will be a hurtin unit before he is done with the season..

    Re: Joey Harrington chooses Miami

Two stages of being a Dolphins fan this offseason.....

    1. The Dolphins trade for Daunte Culpepper

    2. The you find out that Culpepper may not play in 2006 and that Joey Harrington may become your backup / starting QB
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...
