I dont' mean to sound like a jerk but I don't think what Joe Horn did is a big deal at all. So what? He went to pick up some friends that were stranded. All of us would have done the same exact thing. Its not like he saved a little kid that was about to get swept away by the raising waters. Thats what friends do, help eachother.
If I understand correctly, he didn't really know these people very well. It was very nice to go pick up a family he hardly knew and get them out of there at his expense.

Yeah, it does end up sounding that way sort of. That's really the point, someone that's a professional athlete does something that most of us would do if we made that kind of coin and they sound like a hero.

What I like about this story is it wasn't Joe Horn tooting his horn. I was just checking out some e-mails at cnn.com from various people that were affected by the hurricane and this e-mail was among the rest. Just hidden among the other e-mails of sad accounts from the storm. I believe Joe Horn did this just because he is a good guy. He has done a bunch of things for the community and doesn't look for glory because he does these things. His attitude on the playing field, as we all know, can be a little contrary to his personal life attitude.

That's great. He just moved up about 7 notches on my list. That raises him up to about, uh...let's see, (carry the one...) SEVEN. JK. God bless you, Joe Horn. You're alright.

Joe Horn donates a lot of time and money to charaties in the offseason and continues being one of the most underrated people and WR's in the NFL. His numbers compare to any of the top wideouts and outside of Moss, he is probably the most sure thing in fantasy football.
