Thread: Jimmy Smith retires.

He was very queitly one of the most productive receivers of the last 12 years. Consistently near the top of the league in all receiving categories. That sucks for the Jags. As a fan of the game, he's a player you hate to see go.

Very good player but a better person hope him luck in what ever he does. He was very good underated player

Wow this is a surprise that hes gonna retire. He has been one of the best and consistent receivers in the NFL the past 5-10 years. Even in his older age he was a great #1 option. Ive always liked Jimmy Smith and wish him well!

He was consistent and did his job without drawing media attention like some of the moron WRs in the league. I would be happy with a team laden with Jimmy Smith-like players.

That's really surprising. I saw him on NFL Total Access not too long ago, and it appeared as if he was going to come back.

That is too bad. I like the Jags and Del Rio will have a tough time replacing Smith's production in that "O".
