Jim Haslett's Still Delusional
Haslett continues to be a moron, the best move the Saints made in years was getting rid of this nimwit.

Re: Jim Haslett's Still Delusional
Haslett may very well be right. A lot of those guys ARE guys that he brought in, but the problem with the Saints was never talent! It was performance. Haslett's teams ALWAYS underperform. There was a 3 or 4 year stretch that the Saints should have been in the playoffs, yet they were always .500 or less.
The Saints would come out one week and look dominant and like a Super Bowl team, then they'd come out the next week and lay an egg! Talent means nothing if you can't get your guys to play.
Besides, Haslett wasn't the one that went after Marques Colston, Reggie Bush and Drew Brees. So as right as he may be with some positions, he had nothing to do with three of their most influential players.

Re: Jim Haslett's Still Delusional
He's a horrible coach.
It may even be possible that he was worse than Tice.
He was married to Brooks and held onto him no matter what, eventually costing both of them their jobs.
He did make a reasonable trade for Ricky Williams, I'll give him that.
The guy is a head case that had no right being an HC, the Saints started off strong a couple times during his tenure and then folded down the stretcch.
He was deemed a hero the year that Blake got hurt and Brooks finished up the season and beat the fading Rams in the playoffs for their first playoff win ever, only to get destroyed by the Vikings the next week who were subsequently owned by the Jints to the tune of 41-0.
I hate Haslett.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

Re: Jim Haslett's Still Delusional
It says right there that Sean Payton turned over 28 of the 53 man roster, including some of Haslett's "prized" players..
Sean Payton is the only one that deserves the credit for the success of the Saints.. He is one hell of a coach, and I believe Jim Haslett is a bit jealous of Payton's success..
