Jets can't afford Bennett
Jets won't deal for running back
Newsday
Although the Jets could use some help at running back, Newsday's Ken Berger reports the team does not have enough cap room to deal for Dallas' Anthony Thomas or Minnesota's Michael Bennett.BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

I was just thinking that they did not have any cap room earlier in the day, but figured I was wrong since there were so many rumors. I am guessing there is some loop hole way around it ... though it does not sound all that likely right now.

They are totally screwed.
I thought they would be a great team this year. But, Chad "injuryton" is out again. I kinda thought he was overrated too.

Yeah, Pennington had one spectacular year and looked good, but after the injuries really has looked average at best. I think he really has lost a lot on his arm and a lot of confidence.

By the way, if you rememer when I did the polls, thinking the Jets would be great is not nearly as bad as the 50 percent on here or so that though the Ravens were the class of the AFC. I love getting an occasional told ya so in, and I did not even think the Ravens would make the playoffs and caught so much hell for that.
