Of course a NY writer is going to say no great Loss when it comes to our signing of Shiacone.....

I would love to she him catch 2 TD's when we meet the Giants this season, and on top of that, have our D knock JOCKEY out of the game....

It is a matter of time that is one of the teams I can outright say disgusts me. I have no time or tolerance when it comes to the giants. Maybe the secondary will pick of Eli 6 times and really make him out to be the
    buffoon he is.

He probably isn't any great loss to NYG.
Shank was a back up to one of the league's best TEs.
But that doesn't mean that he wasn't a good acquisition for the Vikings.

CT was a backup when we signed him too.
Almost everyone starts out as a backup somewhere.

He definitely should be a great addition for the Vikes.
Like the article says hes a solid blocker and receiver.
I think Chili really values guys that are versatile and can play every down. Anyway Chili finally got his guy and Tice got his guy back, so everybody's happy.

Yet we signed him for $18 mil.

    It boggles the mind.

It seems to my that the article was written soley to trash Shiancoe's worth.
Maybe the question Mr. Palmer should be asking is: What did the Vikings see in Shiancoe to warrant a 18 million dollar deal?
    What did the Giants miss?

I found this quote in an article written a day earlier about Amani Toomer, "Make no mistake about it, the Giants and their fans didn’t know what they had until it was gone."
I have a feeling our good friend Ken will be using this same quote next season regarding the Shiancoe deal.

I'd just like to know what the Vikings based that "worth" on?

In the 4 years V-Shi was there, he caught no more than 7 passes a year (23 total) with the longest of his career going for 17 yards.

OK, raise your hand if you think the Minnesota Vikings were absolutely insane to give Visanthe Shiancoe $18 million.
Can't be done, the average NT Giants fans couldn't raise their hands above the knees.. let alone put them up to be counted in a poll
