TAMPA - Bucs quarterback Jeff Garcia has never staged a contract holdout in his life. His first, however, may be right around the corner....

Seems like an odd time for Garcia to hold out ... I am not sure that Gruden would not just say fuck off. Gruden is kind of arrogant enough to think he can make any QB a good one and i think he might give Simms a shot if Garcia is hell bent on this.
My guess is he doesn't hold out though ... not many years left in him, so he has to get out there and play while he still can.

Oh ... and let me jump the gun on all the T-Jack haters.
Let's trade for him and make T-Jack third string behind Garcia and Booty!!!

If i were the Bucs, i'd just send him a letter saying: "Hey Jeff,
YOU'RE THIRTY EIGHT - that is all"

Yea, but he's still 38 and seeking a contract extension

And if the Vikings had listened to me, we'd have signed Garcia in the 2006 offseason to replace Johnson.

T-Jack would still be learning behind him & IMO we would have finished with a better than 6-10 record in 2006, better than 8-8 in 2007 & realistically been talking Super Bowl in 2008.
