The Titans had said publicly they were sticking with Fisher and dumping Young ... it was over. No reason to think otherwise.
Should've had patience? So we should have been sitting around doing nothing for the last month just in case? That is ridiculous. There is a reason NO teams sat around doing nothing, because it just puts you behind everyone else.
And what is all the love for Fisher anyways? A proven winner? Really? He has not really done much in years. Hell, Childress has as many playoff appearances and MORE wins in the playoffs in the last 5 years as Fisher in the last 7 and we all know how everyone feels about Childress.
Fisher is loved because he stayed somewhere for 17 years ... it has nothing to do with his success. His success has been over for 7 years. In 17 years he made the playoffs 6 times and won 5 playoff games. Hell ... if we had given Childress 17 years he was on pace to make the playoffs at least 6 times and win at least 4 games ... pretty damn close.
I like Fisher, think he is a decent NFL coach ... but all the talk like he is one of the elite guys in the business is a joke.
