He wouldn't last 10 minutes in front of the yutz vikings fans..... First pick or sack and all we would here is how his accuracy or pocket awareness sucks......;D
He's significantly more consistent than TJ, or at least it seems that way when I watch them play.
Yep. Campbell is more consistent, and developed more quickly than TJ. He would be great in our offense.

He is an excellent quarterback who has never had stability in an offensive scheme.
When he as at Auburn, he had to run three different offenses with three different offensive coordinators.

At Washington it's been the same story, over and over again.
He's had (I believe) three additional offenses with the same number of offensive coordinators.
He's never had any stability in one type of scheme or offense, and despite that, he's had some very impressive performances.

great post ranger!!... i was gonna say the same thing but you said it for me!!

    Re: Jason Campbell- Opinions?

Living in Redskins territory, I see plenty of him and would love to have him. He's pretty mobile and can be deadly accurate. He doesn't throw a consistent deep ball, but he gets it there more times than not. He's looked kinda lost in the playoffs the last two times he was there. One knock I have of him is he does way better in the shotgun compared to other formations (probably sees the field better) and we don't run our plays out of the shotgun that often. Although he is mobile, he's kinda like big ben where he stays in the pocket too long. He doesn't force too many throws, although he probably should just a little more because he seems to dump it to the flat or to a running back too quickly many times.

Why would we want a worse QB than we have?

    Re: Jason Campbell- Opinions?

Campbell and TJ have both had a lack of overall guidience in their development..

Campbell has adjusted to system after system and TJ has dealt with limitations in coaching and being developed in a designed approach.

Now, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to throw smack around, but look at the offensive play calling and lack of protection the TJ dealt with when first hitting live regular season game action. They did little in terms of playcalling, formations or routes to help him gain confidence, poise and a level of comfort in the pocket.

Throwing a QB in an offense that won't bring him along is just about as bad as not developing him in practice so he is ready to hit the field and give him proper time to adjust to the NFL game before throwing him to the wolves.

Que tape of Rodgers in the 2006 game against the patriots.. his second year in the league. He was absolutely lost and pathetic in that game.. not ready for the NFL game. Then look at Rodgers of 08, with two seasons of a solid system under his belt.. most QB's are not ready to play yet in year 2.. let alone be handed the franchise with questionable offensive playcalling.

Again.. not trying to be a trouble maker.. just an outside looking in opinion.

    I live in Deadskin territory.
Trust me, the crap they say about that kid is almost as bad as what us fans say about TJ.

His career 59.7 completion percentage might have something to do with it.....Course that is a bit higher than TJ's (58.4).
Maybe we should sign him when he becomes available. : : : :

    Re: Jason Campbell- Opinions?

Jason Campbell had Moss, Randle El and Cooley to throw to and finished with a 84.3 QB rating.

Tarvaris Jackson was throwing to Berrian, Wade and Shaincoe and finished with a 95.4 QB rating.
