Janikowski
Wow, is Sebastian Janikowski an amazing kicker or what?
Did you see that replay before halftime when they showed him hitting the crossbar about 10 yards up on a 64 yard field goal?
And then that 49 yarder he made before halftime looked like it would have been good from 70.
I truly believe he could make a 70 yard field goal! Wow, no wonder they spent such a high draft pick on him.

Re: Janikowski
Against Denver earlier this season he made 52 yarder to win it, but it got called back because Shanahan called a timeout at the last second. He then attempted the kick for the second time, and hit the very top of the right upright, the very top of it. Which is 40 feet in the air.
Think about that.
At 52 yards it was 40 feet in the air.

Re: Janikowski
Was it at Denver? Because that makes a huge difference with the air and all. Not taking away from him but Elam has made some crazy kicks in that thin mountain air. Either way, Janikowski is pretty sick.

If in Denver,

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

It really makes very little difference in kicking a football. A golf ball will travel about 5% farther, a baseball hit to the warning track in most parks will most likely go out in Coors, and it's negligible on the flight of a football. Was it at Denver?
