Ravens | Lewis reported to minicamp lighter than last year
Mon, 10 Jul 2006 17:58:53 -0700
Jamison Hensley, writing for CBS Sportsline.com, reports Baltimore Ravens Baltimore Ravens RB Jamal Lewis is nearly 15 pounds heavier than his playing weight, but still reported to June's minicamp a little lighter than last year. Lewis has shaken all the distractions that bothered him during the 2005 season. He no longer has to worry about his federal drug plea agreement after he recently finished his community service. His contract issue that preoccupied him last year is taken care of and he is not slowed down by a surgically repaired ankle that took away his burst last year. Lewis said, "I feel like this is a new beginning. Everything is behind me right now. I'm happy right now. The fewer things you have on your mind, the better off you are as a football player because this is a mental game."

Why this sympathy for someone just because he can put a football under his arm and run?

Must have had the offseason munchies. Last year he rotted in jail, so he must be doing that this offseaon at home.
