Re: Jake Long to go #1 overall

this means Vernon and CLong are in striking distance for the Chiefs... they could need our 17th pick to move up.
Give us Allen dammit for the 1st and 3rd!!!!!!!

Actually this is good news for the Vikes.
The Chiefs have a better chance now of landing one of the top two DEs with their #5 pick, which would almost definately make Allen a Viking.
I doubt we will know until draft day though.

    What?
Nope, the 1st round is looking like this...

    1) Jake - Fins
    2) Chris - Rams
    3) Dorsey - Atl
    4) Golston - OAk
    5) Leave
    Cheifs with Macfadden or Ellis

We are in trouble because this may force the cheifs to trade down...

Atlanta has said they want to move down...
The Chiefs need to leapfrog the Raiders for Gholston.
ATL has the 2nd round picks to trade with the Chiefs. So ATL moves back to 5, gets 17th and gives up 2 picks to the Chiefs.... or some variation of that which looks like this:

    1. J Long
    2. C Long
    3. Gholston (Chiefs)
    4. Dorsey
    5. Ryan (ATL)

edit: i am copying this to the JA thread now.

    BTW, the other two were:

Ki Aldrich, C, 1934 by the Chicago Cardinals

    and

Chuck Bednarik, C/LB, 1949 by the Philadelphia Eagles
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

That's what teams said about us last year. How healthy is LJ? I think our sucess will rub off on some teams this year.
