Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have trained this offseason using a new method of training. The team has filled an eight-yard by 40-yard portion of the practice field with sand. Strength and conditioning coach Mark Asanovich said the idea of training in a sandpit is not a new idea, but the Jaguars have filled their pit a foot deep rather than usual six inches of sand. Asanovich said there is better conditioning and less stress on joints running on sand rather than pavement.
