The NFL will *never* put a team in Vegas.

Why do you say that?
because of the gambling
Yeah for along time UNLV games were off the boards as well as Sac
Kings games.
It sucks that we cant get a team, but I think if a team did move here they just take them off the boards too.
I guess it's not that easy tho
The Kings are off the boards because the Maloofs own them (for those who don't know that - the Maloofs also own at least one casino there (the Palms, right?)).
UNLV is off for obvious reasons.

But neither of those are the NFL.
They have shown over and over that they want no part of betting on their games.
And they don't need Vegas (nor do I believe Vegas needs them).

"Record low" turnout in Jacksonville
The 2009 Official NFL Record and Fact Book states that Jacksonville Municipal Stadium currently has a capacity for Jaguars games of 67,164.

For Thursday night's preseason finale, the Jaguars distributed only 39,942 tickets, according to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union.

Stellino calls the actual attendance a "record low."

It would shake a few things up to move the Jags though.

Which division would they get put in?

Would they move to the NFC West and the Rams move to the AFC South?
That would be some irony.

Another example of how bog of a loser Mike Tice is.

The stands would be full if they would fire him.

Jack Del Rio is the head coach in Jacksonville.

The big problem in Jacksonville is not only the market size, but it is a retirement community.
Many people who live there have old ties to other teams in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys say there will be no blackout of Sunday's home opener against the New York Giants.

The NFL agrees the team probably will not be blacked out at all during the 2009 season.

The senior vice presidents of public relations for the NFL, and the league's director of corporate communications told CBS 11 Wednesday night that there are seats that still need to be sold for Sunday's game against the Giants, and that the league has not officially ruled out a blackout.
That there is any doubt at all this game will sell-out is amazing.

I'm guessing it's a similar situation to what the Yankees had going on with there place. Crazy high prices. Especially when you factor in the PSL for the seats, good seats probably cost more than a house and nosebleeds probably require a second mortgage. Looking at stub hub upper level for the opener start at about $100. Actually a good thing, when the Vikings play there someday I'd love to go check out that stadium.
The opener is against the Giants, you would think that along with being the opener of the new stadium would be more than enough to sell it out. It would be great if it was blacked out.

Cheapest seats are $790 plus $2000 PSL. Many seats cos

The good seats are only $3400 a year, with a one time payment of $150,000.

Club seats are also $3400 a year, with a one time payment of 16-50,000.

Loge seats $1250, $12,000 one time payment.

Better start saving up some cash in case the Vikings ever get a new stadium.
