    Jaguars

I have to hand it tothe Jags.
The remind me of the MN Twins.
People keep talking about the small market team and how they are going to be moved or shouldn't be there and they keep winning.

Del Rio puts a great "team" on the field each season. It isn't great in the terms of big name talent, but more that he gets the most out of them when they play.

    Man, and Fred Taylor!
They guy has been around since the inception of Fantasy Football, LOL!
    He just keeps running.
I thought he would be out of Football like 4 years ago.
    Keep on keeping on Fred!

They probably will get knocked out next round, but they did go into Heinz Field and beat up on the Black and Gold and that is pretty cool any way you look at it.

    Someone please beat the Pats.

    Re: Jaguars

I'm taking them because they are underdogs. I'm always a sucker for underdogs. And they remind me of the Vikings. Good running team with 2 running backs. Somewhat marginal quarterback. Great run defense.
They are more physical and a little more talented.
But they are what I see the Vikings being next year perhaps.I would like to see a bit more physically dominant Vikings team.

I believe the Jags can beat any team if they stop turning the ball over. Even the Pats!
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

    Re: Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are the Minnesota Vikings of the AFC. They have a great 1, 2 punch in Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones Drew. We have Adrian Peterson and Chestor Taylor. They're strength on defense is stopping the run with two dominant defensive tackles. We have the best run defense in the league with Pat and Kevin Williams. Not to mention both teams have a very medicore core of WR's.

The big difference between them and us is they're QB situation is MUCH better. Hence why they're in the postseason right now, and were not.

    Re: Jaguars

    They did good last night.

If I were the Jags, I'd actually hope for a San Diego win.

I wouldn't want to go to my division rival in Indiana. I'd want a shot at the Pats. I actually think that they could give them a run for their money, if anyone can this year.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Yeah, but you pointed out the most important difference; the QB position.
I'll catch flack for this but I don't think the Vikings will do much better next year with TJ starting. I would like to see him on the bench for a year to learn from a vet. However there is no reason to draft a QB unless it is a late round project like Thigpen was.
I don't see any of that happening though. I hope they at least get better back ups if they go with TJ.

    LOL!!
I'm pulling for the Jagz in the Superbowl too!!
I love that old school, pound the rock, take a few downfield shots, and play solid defense mentality!!
    AND, our similarities!!
Throw in an old Vikings Linebacker, Del Rio, as Head Coach, and Tice too!!
They are the Vikings of the AFC!

    WoW!!
Just checked David Garrard's stats...you are right, there is a difference.
First of all, he's in his sixth season...30 starts.
    64% completions for a modest 2500yds...best of all, 18TDs to only 3INTs!!!
If TJack can pull those numbers off, we're a contender with what we've got now!

I am just happy the knocked out the Steelers.
Was a great day for me yesterday, both teams that get all the love from the media (lately) were knocked out. Now I wish the Giants and Chargers get knocked out too

Just a better record, and atm, a better QB (until TJack breaks out of his shell ;D) Gotta pull for the Jags this year, hate the Pats, ofcourse hate GB, hate Seattle (for my own reasons
:P) if the jagz get eliminated, ill pull for indy i guess, but garrard has had a phenominal year, just 3 picks, thats fantastic, he's mobile to, with a crappy receiving core, does sound a lot like the Vikes, and doesn't look like we're to far from the point where we can do this kind of stuff either. go Jagz!
