    Barry Wilner, of the Associated Press, reports Miami Dolphins DE Jason Taylor has been named the Associated Press' Defensive Player of the Year for his performance during the 2006 season. Taylor recorded 62 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 14 quarterback hurries, two interceptions - both returned for touchdowns - 11 passes defensed, 10 fumbles forced and two fumbles recovered during the year.

    Merriman did get suspended for violating the drug policy.
    I can understand why he didn't get it.

    He only got ripped of because he missed the 4 games and Taylor payed off the AP.
