    It's time for a change

I'm just hoping that one day we'll actually get to watch "top" teams play on Thanksgiving Day.

I'm tired of watching the Cowboys & Lions be the ones to play every year.

    It's time for a change.

I was thinking that as well

Why do they always get to play? I don't understand that process

Is it just tradition or why are they always playing?

Thanksgiving games have been a crap shoot for awhile now

Not only do we have to watch the Lions and The Cowgirls this year.

We have to watch the Packers and the Raiders as well.

Thank god for beer and good food.

It's that same kind of "screw tradition, we can do better" attitude that has the Vikings playing under an inflatable garbage bag these days....

I say let the Lions and Cowboys host on Thanksgiving Day as long as they want.
Hell, I don't care if half the teams in the NFL decide they want to play on Thanksgiving Day (if you want viewers to have a better choice of games), but leave tradition alone.

If the Lions beat the Packers, none of us will care.

For the record, the dome is a HELLUVA lot better than the Old Met was.
It amazes me how many times people look back on the Old Met through nostalgic eyes and forget what a POS it was.
But I agree that Detroit and Dallas should have the Turkey Day games like they always have.

    It's NFL tradition.

Although I hate the Cowboys and dislike the Lions, I feel bad for their fans that have made this an annual thing.

I agree. Let them continue with the tradition.
Truth be told it hurts their teams to have to play 4 days after their last game.
