Re: It's Official: Kyle Orton Is Bears Starting QB
I don't know what to think of this.
Orton's arm isn't very strong and they have a deep threat in Hester.
Unless they plan on running outs and slants with DH, I don't know if its the best option for them (with what they have to work with).
Anyways... SKOL VIKES!

Re: It's Official: Kyle Orton Is Bears Starting QB
I would rather they named Rex as their starter.
We know what we have with him, inconsistent is his best attribute.
I think Orton will surprise a lot of people.
Now I'm not saying he'll guide the Bears to the playoffs, although he's done it before.
I just don't think 9 games is out of his reach, 10... maybe.

Re: It's Official: Kyle Orton Is Bears Starting QB
6-7 wins is likely, any more really depends on the rest of the team.
O line specifically.
He shouldn't lose many games for them though.

Re: It's Official: Kyle Orton Is Bears Starting QB
I really don't see them winning anymore than 5 games at most no matter who their starter is. Their defense is old and overrated and their offense is about as listless as any in the league in recent memory.
They have NOTHING at QB, RB or WR ... their line is a little suspect and Greg Olsen cannot carry the load by himself.
I would be surprised if they find their way past 5 wins and would not be surprised if they are picking first come NFL draft time.

LOL!
Once the Lions announce Orlovsky or Stanton as their starter, the trifecta will be complete.

They were pretty badly injured last year and they swept Green Bay.
So I never take any opponant in the NFL lightly.
I predict they will win 2 or three games.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"
