    *sigh*

It has long ago been established that Minnesota's success during the Culpepper era was due - primarily - to the presence of a little known receiver named Randy Moss.
Once Moss was gone, so was Culpeppers ability to win in Minnesota.

So, while I am all for firing Childress, I am not about to hang the loss of Culpepper on him....especially since it wasn't really thta great of a loss.

What I WILL hang on him is his refusal to replace Culpepper with anyone with even a little bit of talent.
The QB's on our roster MIGHT be the 3rd QB on any other team (Yes, even Jackson).
But Chiller seems to think that he can make something of them....

    ...and he's right.
He HAS made something of them....

    ...jokes.

Culpepper orchestrated his own departure from here. Childress only added fuel to the fire.

But the one thing I can say about Culpepper is that he got a win today......without Moss....... & we lost our 3rd straight game.

You can't blame Culpepper in hindsight for the way he handled his departure.
We all go thru stages in life; some more tramatic than others, but I think Daunte's injury was so severe that he became a little paranoid and felt the need to facilitate a new beginning.

Anyways, I don't mean to bring up the Culpepper injury debate, but i do know this:

All Viking fans that watched Daunte for his first seven years were smiling for him today - whether they will admitt it or not.
I know I feel good for him and I hope he can have a nice second half to his career like Rich Gannon did.

you feel good for the guy that started all of this? you do realize that daunte was the one lobbying to get moss off the team when moss had no intention of ever leaving the vikings right? then right after he forces moss out of town, he demands a trade, while shitting in the face of all of the fans..he handled his situation about as bad as any athlete could handle a situation like that
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

Culpepper ran himself out of town AND out of Miami into a situation where no matter how good he might play (and that was 5 for 12, bud, that's pretty lousy) he's still gonna be sitting as soon as Jamarcus Russell is ready.

    Yeah - we need Daunte.
    He's amazing.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

However ugly, the bottom line is Pep lead the whoafull Raiders to a victory. I wish him well the rest of the year.
