I saw that article a couple years ago, I am sure many players watch it to see what is going on behind them

    Thanks PurpleMafia

Ya, I saw this photo, and immediately thought of this thread. It is proof to me that guys watch. He isn't looking at the end zone worried about scoring, he is looking up at a screen I am sure of that.

If he had mirrors on his helmet, I would think he was checking out the rear view mirror.

"Maybe if it is an incomplete pass, just to see my mechanics or what I did that was wrong," Vick said. "But most of the time to look at myself, and make sure that I'm looking good in my uniform."
    Maybe that's why vick sucks...
I suspect "most of the time" is in the 99.9% range.
    Clutter reducing sig here...
Many Viking fans wouldn t know a good thing if it mooned the Pack.

Players have used the jumbotron to their advantage for years. It allows them to see where the persuers are in relation to them. Much easier than looking behind you, which in turn slows you down. Funny article, and doesn't surprise me one bit about Vick.

Something about Jumbotrons, that I saw on REAL Sports, was that the home teams really don't show the opposing player highlights, especially if it is something that a visiting coach would like to review or challenge. It is a true homefield advantage. If it is a controversial call for the home team that they are thinking about reviewing, the Jumb tries to show as much as fast as possible.

It even showed a visiting coach waiting for the replay to show up and it never did, like the coach actually thought (hoped) he would see a review. The story was done in Det and Cin.

I tried to watch it, but it kept stopping and starting.
Yeah, Tice used to complain about the Metrodome crew not showing enough replays when the Vikings got a potentially bad call, and showing too many replays when an opposing team did. Personally I don't know... every game that I was at, if there was a close call against the Vikes, they showed it on the screen as many times as they could before the next play.

When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?
