If you get caught cheating on a test do they let you finish?

The punishment should fit the crime.
Keeping them out of the post season for video obtained in week 1 is a little ridiculous, don't you think?

They would not have any and other teams need them to beat certain teams to help them out.

If you get caught taking performance enhancing drugs in week 1, do you still get to play in the post season?
Of course.

People keep using the cheating issue as a blanket excuse to take everything away from the Pats.
They shouldn't get any draft picks (even the ones they legitimately traded for a year ago).
They shouldn't get to play in the playoffs.
The should forfeit their game.
Etc...

The fact is that video taping the opposing team's bench had little or no effect on the outcome of the immediate game, and didn't contribute one iota to weeks 2-17.
And it is still legal to video tape the bench, just not for the particular place that it was being done.
It is a minor violation, and was punished severely.
Let it go.

You should go back and forfeit whatever grades you earned in those classes, and every other high mark you earned too, just in case.

And you shouldn't be allowed into higher ed.

Not trying to take the Pats side here but didn't almost every team do this to some extent (often in the guise of players friend videoing his bud) and then the commish banned it or something like that and the Pats kindof choose to ignore the mandate?

After you are retired and financially secure you should send letters of apologies to your schools.
That way you feel better and don't sacrifice anything.
