That would be a dream come true if it worked out that way.
Problem with it for me is that the season isn't gonna end today and there are some very interesting games still go play which cause me to think that it (the bracket) won't
stay with 3 teams from the NFC South.
Very nice post though my friend.
of course things will change, the rest of our games are conference games, so we have the opportunity to stay at #3, or move down all the way to 6th or worse.
I really hope Childress has figured this out as well, and is stressing the importance of keeping that #3 spot.
there also is the slight chance of moving up to #2, but we need LOTS of help
the upcoming schedule for
CAR is vs TB, vs DEN, @NYG, @NO
TB is @CAR, @ATL, vs SD and vs OAK
ATL is @NO, vsTB, @ MIN and vs STL
Pretending We win out:
we would need Carolina to lose 2 of their games, with one of them being a conference game
Tampa would need to also lose 2 of their games, but it does not matter which ones, since they are currently 5-5 conference record
ATL needs to lose at least 1 of their games, since I'm not sure about our common games
so the ideal scenario would be CAR loses to DEN, CAR loses to NYG (both possible)
then they still play NO and TB who can both spoil someone's playoff hopes(but if TB wins, they have a good shot at taking the division)
TB loses to CAR, TB loses to ATL (still play SD who can sometimes win, and OAK)
ATL loses to MIN, can win rest
IF all of that happens, we can get the #2 seed and a first round bye
my how speculating is fun at 5:00 AM,
i might try sleeping.
