Re: IF Miami were to loose out or have the worst record in the NFL......
What I have been thinking is we get Miami's #2 pick next year.
I hope they lose out so we can have the 1st pick in the second round!

We already used up the pick we got for Culpepper, nothing more riding on that unless I missed something.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

if they stick with daunte, and he keeps on sucking, how long do you stick with him? can miami afford to throw away another season next year?

Should we stick with him for a high draft pick?
Or should we go with talent that will make us capable of scoring on offence? You republican whore!

Do not hijack threads all across the site with the BJ hate.
It is fine if you hate him; but do not turn every darn thread into a BJ thread.

Re: IF Miami were to loose out or have the worst record in the NFL......
If Miami does end up tanking this season I can see them in the same situation, come draft-time, as Houston was this year. Stuck at the top of the draft asking for too much for the #1 pick and not being able to trade down. This means they'll either be forced to reach for a player (like the Texans ended up doing, but with the Dolphins they'd probably reach for someone like Joe Thomas, who actually tops the Scouts Inc Top 32 at the moment) or taking a player based purely on ability that won't help the club in the short-term at all (such as Brady Quinn).
