I LOVE the NFL Redzone Channel!

OK, so this weekend is a free preview of the new NFL Redzone Channel for Dish network customers.
Since the Vikes weren't on, I thought I would check it out.

    Holy balls.
    I am hooked.
They switched often enough that I didn't miss anything.
I saw damn near every third down.
    Every touchdown.
I saw most of the Pats-Ravens game, and most of the Browns-Bengals game.
Caught all of the Colts tds...

I thought that the channel would be really stupid, like an extended highlight reel or something.
But I was very surprised and impressed with the way they transitioned between games.
I am going to order it for the rest of the season. Wow.

I have comcast and we have that channel too.
I was watching the Bears game most of the day, but that eventually made me mad and I've been switching between that and the jets/saints game.
    I love it.

DirecTv has all of the games in their entirety. I'll take the sunday ticket any day for watching football and seeing the games I want when I want them.

Sunday ticket cost a bit more than the $4.99/month that Red Zone will cost me.
And when I had it, I spent half of the time switching around anyway, trying to catch the big plays.
This is much easier.. and cheaper.

Plus Direct TV has probably the worst UI I have ever seen.

    I understand.

Doesn't the NFL Channel have something very similar to that?

As far as the cost, yes it is expensive but I love watching football and this is the only ticket in town that gives me all the regular time games in HD and the superfan package gets a similar red zone channel. The thing I like is if there are 2 games I want to watch, I can TIVO both of them ( My wife is a packers fan) and we can go back and forth between games and then rewind if we miss anything. Not cheap for sure but I find a way to do it.

    Great channel for gamblers.

Re: I LOVE the NFL Redzone Channel!

I wish I would have seen some of it. The previews looked sweet.

This is how I try to watch football when the Vikings aren't playing. I have nfl.com open with the redzone updates, and I have sunday ticket so I just switch to the games. I saw a ton of the 1st half touchdowns
    We're bringing purple back.
