Re: I am so sick of Theisman already....

As I said to the TV (and my wife) at one point:

"So, Joe - what's it like to have everyone but your mother hate you?"

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I actually muted the TV and turned on Viking Radio. My God, I would almost rather listen to Madden than Theisman.

Theisman is a tool that is more concerned with impressing the audience with is long forgotten career!
Joe....we dont give a "turd" what YOU USED TO DO.

I would love to stand behind him in the booth and crack a stick over my knee...giving him a LT Flashback!!
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Re: I am so sick of Theisman already....

    I have NEVER beena
fan of ESPN's football coverage, and am even less so now.

    Tony Kornheiser....he's GOT to go.
I think he had 1 or 2 relevant comments throughout the entire game, but I'm pretty sure they were accidental.

Joe Theisman...aside from his obvious love of the Redskins, I didn't think he was horrible.
Having Kornholer in the booth with him makes him look great by comparrison.

Camera work...oh, please give us MORE shots from head height.
There's nothing I love more than being able to see NOTHING while the play is in progress.

    Jamie Foxx....Why?
How much time was wasted while everyone yapped with Foxx about his career, Tom Cruise, and the food in the owners box?
Foxx seemed to think that the rest of America actually gave a rat's behind about his opinions.
Sure, you were good in "Ray", but there's a game on, idiot!!!!

Chris Berman...you were cool 10 years ago, before you were "Boomer".
Now, you're just a fat Howard Cosell...without the talent.

And, just think, we get to watch these same morons on October 30th....YAY US!!!

I may not be a huge Madden fan, but he was FAR more relevant and entertaining than this current ESPN crew.

But, to me, the biggest kick in the nards was when I turned on the FOX Pregame show on Sunday and saw Terry, Howie, Jimmy, and Joe friggin Buck?!?!?!?!?
    I mean, COME ON!!!
Bono has more credibility with me than that rat dropping!!!!
What are you trying to do, FOX, drive viewers to infomercials?

So, yeah, we won, and the Packers got blanked, and those are always good things, but I can't help but wonder at the people who hire commentators.
Is it their mission to hire the most annoying and moronic people they can find?
Are they TRYING to drive down the ratings to make the NFL cut them some slack on the next contract?

    Someone needs an a$$ whoopin'!!!

I refuse to watch Joe Buck after his gutless STUPID yapping about Moss pretending to moon the Packer fans....
THAT IS THE MOST DISGUSTING..yada yada...

I would have thought seeing his partner Marv Albert in womens panties would be a bit more disgusting!!

Talk about NO TALENT riding his fathers name!
I agree....I turned off the FOX coverage because of him.....and will not watch it again until he is gone!

Re: I am so sick of Theisman already....

Just sent this to ESPN - they limited me to 500 characters:

I couldn't believe how disappointed I was with ESPN's commentators during the Monday Night Vikings-Redskins game.
Tony Kornheiser makes me miss Madden...heck, he makes me miss Cosell!
If he wants to go to bed so badly, LET HIM!!
He has the unique ability to add nothing to the program.

    The Jamie Foxx invasion?
The only thing having him on that long did was cover up your crews complete inability to comment on football.

I'm just grateful you can only ruin one more Viking game this season.
    Wonder if they'll reply?

I didnt' mind Theisman that much tonight really. My biggest gripe was the ESPN Hollywood deal. What the heck was with them showing Jamie Foxx for 10 minutes instead of the game? I know we got to see the plays, but it bothered me. It's a football game, not MTV.

Re: I am so sick of Theisman already....

    Theisman didn't bother me terribly.
He had some good things to say about both teams, Brad Johnson, Chester Taylor, Wiggins, etc.
He was torn on Troy Williamson, and rightfully so.
The other guys were the ones that made the joke out of Wiggins.
Kornheiser and Jamie Foxx were inexcusable!!

The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good -Samuel Johnson - lexicographer
The word genius isn t applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein - Joe Theisman

I missed the first 3 minutes of the second half, so I'm assuming thats when it happened.

So can someone please tell me the Wiggins joke?

    Is it about his body?
