Compared to the head coaches of the other 31 NFL teams, where does Tom Coughlin rank?

Brad Childress, Minnesota Vikings -- Please, stop reading if you think Childress is a better coach than TC. EDGE: Coughlin ...

Wow, before I actually read the article I didn't think he really ranked that high.
But if you stop and compare him to the rest of the guy's in the league, he probably is in the top 7.
I do disagree with him on some of the comparisons.

I would take Jeff Fisher over just about anybody though.
    Tons of respect for him.

Childress doesn't deserve that kind of disrespect.
I think by the end of this year, we'll know exactly what kind of coach he is.
    I love lamp.

Kindof a good analysis, however, whats up with the disrespect to the Chiller.
Why not give him a "To early to tell" as he did with all the other new coaches.

Seems to me he might be a Vikings fan still pining for the days of ........ Well not gonna say a certain coaches name.
    ;D

You have to give the Chiller more time. Like Coughlin, the better coaches evolve and this year I expect to see if Brad will be the coach to bring us a championship. If Childress can implement his system and tweak it to suit our personnel, I think he will prove to be a successful coach in this league.

The disrespect was due to the fact that he doesn't live in the purple la la land that a lot of you folks live in around here.
And Mike Tice atleast made it to and won in the playoffs with the lowest paid coaching staff in the NFL and a cheap owner.
Meat head was just a young guy who got thrown into the fire and did a lot better than Chilly Dawg but given a lot less.

Not to mention he wasn't even ever a OC or DC. He was only an OL coach & he took them to the playoffs in his 3rd year as HC. He also accomplished that despite a huge handicap.....Ted Cottrell.

This is about the dumbest I have read in a while. Just listing every coach, and start racking them down arbitrarily, followed by EDGE: Coughlin. Thats about as useless as it gets.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

the only reason anybody questions coughlin as a coach is because they buy into tiki barber's bitching and whining
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

    Tiki doesn't have a ring.
That was probably the best thing to happen to the Giants, his early retirement.
