How Chad Johnson Differs From Terrell Owens

...To me, this headline on a column by Frank Hughes in today's News-Tribune gets it exactly right: Owens provokes fans, while Johnson makes them grin. It really is that simple.
Johnson and Owens are both great receivers. Johnson and Owens both engage in touchdown celebrations that draw attention to themselves. But Johnson's effect seems to be making the fans laugh, while Owens' effect seems to be making the fans angry. There's no accounting for taste, and some fans might think Owens is funny and Johnson is infuriating. But for me, Johnson seems like a good guy and Owens seems like a jerk.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

Right On! I still don't like Chad though because he plays for the Ben-Gals who I hate. But I hate him less than Owens.

Re: How Chad Johnson Differs From Terrell Owens
Chad is awesome regardless of who he plays for.
this guy is what football is all about.
He has fun doing it and he's funny about it.
Owens is just an ass.
I used to like him until he stepped on the Dallas star.
Even though I thought it was funny I thought it was in poor taste.
That was trying to humiliate the organization.
Kind of like Moss with the fake moon.
that was funny.
It's something the Packer fans do to everyone else.

Re: How Chad Johnson Differs From Terrell Owens
thers a simple answer to this... Chad can catch... TO can't! I don't wanna hear about... oh he had a broken finger last year or any of that crap... TO has been in the top 5 in dropped passes every year he's been in the league. He's OVERATED... the 96 (correct my year if i'm wrong) 49'ers / Greenbay game where he had 4 dropped passes in the first half, and the 49'ers stopped covering him after the first quarter because he was playing so terribly... that should say everything

Yeah, I'd have to agree with this short article.
Owens is always doing something that either A, hurts the team, or B causes him to receive a fine a few days later. Chad Johnson has been fined too, but not nearly as much as Owens. Not to mention Chad Johnson dosen't draw penalties from his TD celebrations that end up hurting his team.Owens does that all the time, like when he scored last week against the Miami Dolphins. He then proceeded to make fun of the Patriots by mocking "Spygate".
Although, I have to admit, it was pretty funny.

Yes, I think 99% of people you ask will have the same opinion on that, Chad's antics are fun-loving, and generally good natured.
He doesn't drop nearly as many balls, and you don't hear him bashing his teammates and QB's any time he's not playing well.
Owens will drop 4 passes and then complain after they lose the game, saying the reason is he didn't get the ball enough.

Chad Johnson when he scores he finds a way to put on a show, and usually its pretty good. Also Chad takes the blame for what he does, and seems to be more of a team player.
Terrell Owens a guy who knows how to destroy a locker room, but I a good deep threat type of reciever, drops passes, hold press confrences in wierd places. I would CJ over TO any day of the week.IN THE PITS ON THE RIVER BEDS EVRY VIKING FAN WILL RISE & VAHALLA SHALL REJOICE WITH THE MOST GLORIOUS PRIZE LOMBARDI'S TROPHY
