Hottest team in the playoffs
The pundits should all be so embarassed that they resign from their prognosticating positions. Seriously. What a bunch of hacks.
"The hottest team in the NFC is the Eagles..." They get beat by the Cowboys when the 2nd seed of the playoffs is on the line and then get beat again wildcard weekend by the Cowboys. Destroyed.
"The hottest team in the NFC is the Packers, they are favored to win the SB..." Their #2 defense gives up >50 pts and they go home losers.
"The hottest team in the league is the Cardinals..." They go to the Superdome and are owned by the Saints.
"The hottest team in the NFC right now is the Cowboys..." They go from their billion dollar stadium to the 'dollar tree' stadium and look like a team that was thrown together for a pickup game. Completely owned in every aspect of the game and somehow manage to get three pts. Wow. Then they have the audacity to whine about the last TD. Cow pie bastards, go rot in the offseason.

Just as nothing you do today helps you beat an opponent in the future, nothing you've done in the past helps you defeat who you're facing now. When the cleats hit the turf, momentum don't mean spit. Who's better prepared, who's executing better, and who's got more heart and determination will win the game. In the playoffs you generally need all 3 to win, momentum isn't on the list.

Good post! Everyone were also saying that the Vikings and Saints were one of the least hottest teams in the playoffs. That was before they dominated their opponent in their first playoff game, combining a score of 79 - 17.
The so-called "experts" change their mind faster than a girl changes clothes. They only look at the last three or two games.
I find it a little funny that the Vikes beat the only team that dominated the saints, and the Saints beat the only team that really dominated the Vikes. The NFC Championship is going to be awesome! Both of the teams deserves it more than any other team in the NFC. The AFC is going to be a blowout.

Commentators are paid to predict winners, unfortunetly for them nobody knows who is going to win until the game is played.

We are fanatics and idiots. I guarantee that many on this board can break down games at least as well as many of those asshats, many better. Yes, it's a crapshoot. It wouldn't be so bad, but, many don't take the time to point out the strengths and weaknesses of the teams. Just guesses pulled out of their ass and making money at doing it.

The current hottest team would have to be the Jets they have won 4 in a row.
The Vikings are the hottest nfc team with 2 consecutive victories.
Saints and Colts are both on 1 game winning streaks.

Since the playoffs are a new season, only one team, the Jets, has one two games. They must be the hottest team since the Colts, Saints and Vikings have only won one game.

Nice post Prophet. What gets me is the pundits talking about what the cowboys did wrong to lose. It doesn't occur to them that they did nothing wrong and played as well as they could its just that the Vikings are a better team and beat them.
