Obviously the one that wanted to play ball did. He maintained the same average as he did in Dallas. Why does that have to be repeated over & over?

He probably could have done better, but the Vikings made him change his running style.

Why is it when one team gives up "X" amount of players for a player or "X" amount of more money to a player, fans tend to think said player is miraculously going to get "X" amount better & expect that of him?

Why was he repeatedly dropped from rosters: Vikings, Eagles and Giants ended their commitment to him on by simply releasing him.
There were more issues then his running stlye and yards per carry.
If I recall correctly the Eagles, Giants and finally the Cowboys picked Walker up without even having to claim him off of waivers.

yards per carry dont mean shit..OOOOOOOO he maintained the same..BFD.. im looking at his 53.9 yards per game when he was here for 3 years..IM IMPRESSED, thats pretty sad if you think he showed to play here with those kind of numbers.

Singers right on this one, his number of carries fell off signifigantly when he came here.
I always wonder how well he would of looked in a deep "I" formation.
He seems like he could of been a big difference makwer

: Probably would have been higher had they actually given him the ball. You failed to mention in those 3 years he only averaged 13 carries per game.

It equates to an average of about 4.2 yards per carry. Better than the 4.0 he averaged in Dallas.

Had he been given the ball 303 times like Chester Taylor had in 2006, he would have had a 1,273 yard season. Better than Chester Taylor's 1,216.

    Things to remember;

Walker did not ask to be traded to the Vikings.

Walker did not orchestrate the trade.

Walker did not tell Dallas who to draft with those picks Lynn gave them.

It's not Walker's fault they made him change his running style.

It's not Walker's fault he was not given the ball more often.

The 1st year he went to the Eagles after the Vikings & was allowed to run the way he liked to run, he gained 1,070 yards
The 2nd year in Philly he averaged 4.3 YPC
The 3rd year in Philly he averaged 4.7 YPC
The only one to blame in the Walker trade was Mike Lynn.

The Vikings coaches reluctantly accepted Walker after the trade and never totally used the tool they had been given.
Scout.com says, "but Walker was never used properly by the coaching brain trust (a total oxymoron in this case)".

I think its more what we gave up to get him compaired to what he did on the field. Right or wrong Walker will always be seen by everyone(Guilty as charged )as a scapegoat from the whole thing.
