    Sean Taylor anyone?

I'm gonna give my top 5.

    1) Lawrence Taylor
    2) Sean Taylor
    3) Steve Atwater
    4) Ray Lewis
    5) Deacon Jones
    Your a youngin!

    ;D
And the players are faster and stronger now than they ever were before. So they hit harder. But I think my list is pretty good anyway.
I know, nothing wrong with your list.
Taylor whiffs a lot and we all see the highlights all of the place.

The players back in the day were meaner though.

Joey Browner and Robert Griffith packed some mean hits, but I don't know who to bump from the list to get them in. Doleman was a hard hitter as well.

I remember a kickoff where Browner came tearing down the field and the guy never called a fair catch. Just as he caught the ball Browner just nailed him while he was still going balls out, causing a fumble & Vikings recovery.

That guy had his timing down pat.

Don't forget about Corey Fuller he had some monster hits.

I still remember the one where he laid out Freeman from the packers.
That hit won the ESPY for the hardest hit that year.

Too bad the head slap is outlawed. .
Did people start to do it after Deacon Jones?

And imagine if pat could head slap people. He would knock someone out cold.

There is some controvery with that.
Rich Jackson of the Broncos claims he created it.
He is on the list as well.
