Happy St Patrick's day, I know ppl get drunk today and it's some kind of Irish festival, but that's about all I know. If anyone can explain very briefly what it's about and why its associated with alchohol, that would be great!!
Cuz it's Irish man.. Irish peepz drink way too much booze
Watch it with the negative stereotypes, man...otherwise you are gonna have a bunch of drunken Irishmen painted green beating the crap out of you with their shilleleighs!

It's a Catholic holliday; the festival of St. Patrick. He was the one that brought christianity to Ireland. The holliday itself isn't directly accociated with alcohol. However, it's associated with the Irish, and the Irish are associated with alcohol.

Like my new sig for the day?
Supposedly, St. Patrick also drove all of the snakes out of Ireland...and that is why there are NO snakes in Ireland!

Too bad he couldn't have driven out all of the English Protestants out of Northern Ireland...then there wouldn't be all that violence there!
