Yeah it looks like we got the best kicker but who will the Bears bring to kick in the game?
The answer is Robbie Gould.

The Chicago Bears cut veteran kicker Doug Brien on Wednesday and replaced him with Robbie Gould.

Brien missed three out of four field goal tries this season and sustained a back injury during the Bears' bye-week practices. The injury kept him out of last week's 20-10 loss at Cleveland.

He came to the Bears from the New York Jets as the 10th-most accurate field goal kicker in league history. In the summer, the Bears cut Paul Edinger, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago's opponent on Sunday.

The Bears called Gould in for a tryout last week with four other kickers.

"He has a strong leg," Bears coach Lovie Smith said. "That's really what got my attention right away."

Gould has gone from working in private industry a week ago to full-time NFL employment in just a few days.

"I was helping a family friend in a construction business," Gould said. "I was out working in the field and in the office a couple days. Now I'm here, so it's kind of crazy."

Gould was signed as an undrafted free agent by New England in April, was cut and signed to Baltimore's practice squad before being waived by the Ravens on Sept. 27.
