Bears | Grossman admits to not being prepared for season finale
Thu, 4 Jan 2007 20:24:13 -0800
ESPN.com reports Chicago Bears QB Rex Grossman admitted to not giving it "100 percent" while preparing for the team's season finale against the Green Bay Packers. During an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Grossman admitted to learning a valuable lesson and said, "In this league, especially at this position, you have to bring it every single week, no matter what and the situation was I felt like I was going to play about a half, and it was the last game, it was New Year's Eve -- there were so many other factors that brought my focus away from what is actually important, and that's something that I am never going to do again. There is too much I am responsible for to not give it 100 percent during the week and just the full attention. It's another lesson."

Re: Grossman admits he's inadequate
One of the few things that I have peace about this season is that the Bears will go down hard in the playoffs.

Re: Grossman admits he's inadequate
Ok here is my thought first off I Hate Rex Grossman. He was so OVER RATED in the beginning of the year. It was the defense that made him look good. Now since they have been having trouble with the Defense he sucks.
That is embarssing to the Bears what Rex Grossman said. I think that Childress would have cut him if he were coach of the Bears. (lol)
I hope that Grossman does not get benched though. Because I want the Bears to lose their 1st playoff game. I hate the Bears 2nd only to the Packers!!

Re: Grossman admits he's inadequate
They aired an interview with Ditka last night on KFAN.
His comments regarding Grossman's statement were pretty brutal.
Ditka showed no love for Grossy.

Re: Grossman admits he's inadequate
a big mistake he made was admitting the vikings defense go into his head. ever since those comments i think defenses are getting to him in his head. and besides,
what do you expect from a florida QB, havent seen one that was successfull at the Pro level yet.
jesse palmer = bust
doug johnson = reliable backup
danny wuerfell = bust
rex grossman = soon to be bust if not already.
florida gator WR however are much more successfull, might be why the QBs are always over-rated.

The UF WRs aren't much to write home about in the NFL either.
On the other hand, the RBs do have some clout...Emmitt Smith, Fred Taylor, Neal Anderson, John L. Williams, prolly a few others that I am missing.BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE
