Not trying to single you out here Uffda, however, I still don't understand why everyone thinks Bradshaw was that great.

I put him in with the likes of guys like Dilfer, Doug Williams etc who were just along for the ride.
If everyone remembers Terry wasn't even the best QB on that team during that era.

    No problem Marr.

The way I look at it, the AFC was strong during that time. Teams like the Dophins and the Raiders were constantly putting out great teams as were the chargers and with him as the QB, the Steelers won 4 super bowls. He not only had to play great football during the regular season, but also through the playoffs and during the super bowl.

Many other quarterbacks have had great careers but didn't get it done when it counted and he did so to me that gives him a higher credibility than someone who puts up great numbers but doesn't close the deal. If we were rating these guys based on Madden, then we can look at just stats.

The difference between Dilfer and Bradshaw shouldn't require explanation to anyone that has any basic knowledge of football.

Terry wasn't even the best QB on that team during that era.

Joe Montana, cool under pressure, he did have a great team around him though, but without him I don't know how successful they all would have been.

Brady, fistful of rings, puts up very good numbers, may even have betters stats than Manning this year.

Manning, he's probably the smartest player I've ever seen obviously the stats are there he's gonna kill Favre's records. Being a "6'5 230 pound quarterback with a laser-rocket arm" doesn't hurt much either.

Brett Favre, I know we all hate him, but I have tremendous respect for the man. Durable, fearless, gunslinger, super bowl ring.

Marino, the only one without a ring. He was one hell of a QB though, can't take anything away from him.

    I agree more with this.
I would try and squeeze Unitas in there, but good list.
I do hate Favre, but I am not dumb to what he has accomplished.
You gotta put Manning ahead of Brady...give Manning the Putzie defense and he wins MORE SBs than Brady does.
The only reason either one of them held the trophy is because of Vinateri
