Re: Goodell says Super Bowl may someday be held in London

It would be pretty fun for us over here, but somehow it would just not be right I think.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Goodell says Super Bowl may someday be held in London

I would be in favor of it.
I would even go to the game if I could get a ticket.
It would be quite an experience to see the game in Europe, and imagine what that would do for the popularity of the league worldwide?
There would be bidding wars by country (which is what Goodell would be counting on).

Besides, I don't like it that there's a chance of one of the opponents having a home field advantage.
If somehow a team had it in their home stadium it would be an advantage, even if not all the fans were theirs.
The home fans would pay huge scalping prices to see their team.

I don't like the idea. If we can't even keep NFL Europe viable what is the economic incentive? I say screw England, they have soccer, football is ours.

It could eventually be held like the early games at Sundays, at 1pm EST, which would be 6pm in the UK

It could perhaps even be a couple of hours later than that.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.
