Good thing we didn't get Plax
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/NYG/8690254
ALBANY, N.Y. (July 30, 2005) -- Wide receiver Plaxico Burress was taken off the field during the New York Giants ' first practice session with what coach Tom Coughlin described as a hyperextended knee.
Burress, the Giants' major offseason acquisition, went up for a long sideline pass from backup quarterback Jesse Palmer and fell to the ground after battling with rookie cornerback Ahmad Treaudo. He grabbed his right leg, then lay on his back for about five minutes while trainers examined him.
Burress later was taken from practice in a golf cart with his right knee wrapped.
The Giants acquired Burress as an unrestricted free agent from Pittsburgh in March. He signed a six-year contract.
The sixth-year pro, a first-round draft pick by the Steelers out of Michigan State, has 262 career receptions for 4,164 yards and 22 touchdowns. He is expected to strengthen a Giants passing attack that had the second-fewest touchdown passes in the NFL last season.
Good thing we didn't get him.

Good thing for us, bad for me, I have him in my FF League.....
But it sounds like he'll be okay by season start.....

I heard about that too this afternoon when they took a breather from blabbering about Ramirez. They said it probably wasn't anything serious, but I'm happier with Williamson anyway.

They just reported this on SC. It said he came back later to catch some more passes from Eli. So I guess he'll be fine.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

I think Taylor could prove to be the Vikings best offensive aquisition. We don't have to wait much longer to find out."revprodeji" wrote:
