Joe Gibbs retires for the second time.

Gibbs might've been a good coach but should've stopped after his first retirement

He's endured a lot this year.
I don't particularly like the skins, but Gibbs is a class act.

It'll take all of 5 minutes to name Gregg Williams.

-20 Mill over the CAP.
This causes serious issues with respect to players current on the team they must resign as well as negates any possibility of going out and getting any FA to upgrade key positions.


Thier 2007 draft was a
mess with no top round picks.

Face it.
The owner and front office built this team to win this year and now the bank is mortgaged.
If I was the HC I would leave a mess like that as well.

Everyone should take a good look at how this staff approached building a winning team and the cost (future) is will have for years to come.

Second that...always liked Gibbs and hated the Redskins (even more so when Snyder took over).

Yeah, that's a horrible situation...reminds me of how George Allen used to trade away the young talent to get his veterans for Allen's "Over the Hill Gang".

When Gibbs came back, all FOUR local TV stations covered his press conference LIVE (I was in a bar near my house that night (Ashburn, VA - home of the Redskins) and you would not have believed how the locals were buying into the Second Coming).

I wonder if all the channels covered today's announcement with the same enthusiasm.
