It always amazes me how much can change for a team, coach or player in a single season. Goat to hero in the matter of 8 weeks..

And if they start to struggle at some point next year or the year after, a SB win won't stave off the inevitable "Fire Coghlin" threads.

Sometimes the actual level of knowledge some fans with respect to the roles HC's play in the grand scheme of things just mystify me.

The Head Coach brings the scheme and the coaching staff to teach that scheme.

The GM (or Triad in our case) find the players to fit that scheme.

The players have to execute that scheme.

If the players don't fit the scheme (GM's Fault) the HC gets fired.

If the players screw up and don't execute (Players fault) the HC gets fired.

Poor bastards.
I would never want to be a HC.
