He's lucky he didn't get offed and only lost the jewelry. But the third-year safety was no match for a couple of armed toughs who stole $55,000 worth of jewelry from him outside a trendy Bowery nightclub last week.

Why the hell would you be wearing 50g of jewlrey anyway? I'm no thug, but if some guy is walking down my block with 50g of jewlry I might just jump him-just too much of an oppurtunity.
Wait, if there's cat food in this bag............................
I HAVE TO CHECK ON JOLLY!!!!

What baffles me is that it made no mention of bodyguards, or security at all.. Usually pro athletes have some kind of protection with them at all times when they are in public.
He is extremely lucky that he didn't get shot and killed.. To much of this crap going on these days.. He is pretty dumb for wearing that stuff, and being alone in public.. Not saying that he deserved what happened, but he should have been thinking a little more..

3rd string and the man has on 50 grand in jewerly?
What was I thinking when I was skipping all those classes at school and beating up jocks rather then toting my jock strap around with them?
I could have extra cash rather then doing the paycheck to paycheck thing....lol
Ok, honeslty though I have no sympathy for a man that totes 50 grand in jewerly around.
You are putting a bullseye on your back and asking for thug, punk, scum of the earth people to do these types of things to you.
I just chalk it up to ignorance and arrogance.

It's like fishing, the jewelery is the bait. Problem is, they're fishing in shark infested water!
