I've gotta say, IF they did go with Cowher, we could expect about a 2-3 rebuilding period.
However, taht task gets much more difficult when they don't have a first or second round pick this upcoming draft.

Although I would have loved to see Cutler a Viking (either drafted as one/or in a trade) I sure wouldn't have wanted to give up what they gave for him if our team was in the dire straights they are in (ala Aging defense, terrible OL, No WR's).
There is another option to fix the mess and that is via FA but that is gonna cost and it would take a GM willing to go that route, as well as a owner willing to pay.
For those reason, I don't see them firing Lovie.
Cost would cripple them just as bad as the lack of picks.
My guess, GM is gone and a new one comes in who is pretty smart with the $$$$$. Anyone come to mind, say a Bryzcheapski kindof cat?
