Getting sick of Chad Johnson
I'm starting to really not like Chad Johnson.
First off, his touchdown dances are disgraceful.
Touchdowns are the result of a collected effort of everyone in the organization (coaches, coordinators, players, etc.).
When Chad does those ridiculous dances it becomes "point the spotlight right on me".
I don't mind a high five or a spike, but his dances are solely for the purpose of self adoration.
They also denigrate his opponents.
There is such a thing as a sore winner.
I'm not saying he should shake his opponents hands after a touchdown or anything, just a little moderation might be in order.
The whole ocho cinco thing on sportcenter was pretty pathetic.
Then he came onto the field with ocho cinco instead of C. Johnson and then Palmer ripped off the ocho cinco and presto...it says C. Johnson again.
:
I dunno, maybe I'm being too hard on the guy.
I just think players like him denegrate the sport.
Basketball used to be a lot nicer until it was taken over by street thugs who made it an in-your-face-i-can't-wait-to-see-my-dunk-on-highlight-reels game.
I'm sure there are more people that disagree with me than agree with me.

At least he's not a JERK like T-HO!
I can put up with Chad...just as long as he doesn't cause the kind of trouble that T-HO did...or get into stuff like Michael Irvin (another IDIOT)!BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

I watch football for entertainment.
Chad and players like him are entertaining and that's why he does what he does.
If you didn't notice, after the game he went over, talked to DeAngelo Hall, then kneeled and prayed with him.
Say what you want about the guy, yea, he runs his mouth but he goes out there and give 110% every game. The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

You don't see that m,any African-American punkers these days...
I admire the mohawk. I would rock one if I could get away with it at work.
In fact, I had a wicked sweet mohawk the summer of '05.
I'll see if I can find a pic of it... Not likely tho, that was pre-Powerbook days... My main media was film back then, the moving type. Super 16.-Sno

Re: Getting sick of Chad Johnson
If I hear one more thing about how touchdown celebrations are disgraceful I'm going to shoot someone, honestly it is not that big of a deal, and his are more entertaining than anything else. I think it is ridiculous how some people are reacting to something this small.
The Ocho Cinco thing was flat out hilarious, and the man is a great player.
And at least hes no T-HO

another memiore about TD celebrations. It's all in good fun. If defensive players don't like it don't them be in a position to do it. And the NBA is garbage is because of David Stern always trying to flex his muscles and be a dictator. Sports needs entertainers like chad johnson anyways.

Re: Getting sick of Chad Johnson
he's a fun player to watch, plain and simple, he brings life to the bengals organization.
i can see what you mean faninphx about certain people jsut being showboats in sports these days, but you have to understand the difference between egotistical jack@sses, and people like CJ who just plain love what they do.
The arguement about whether or not Johnson's celebration were considered taunting etc was brought up a lot to other pro-football players when they added the new rule to cut down on celebrations even more this year; almost every player interviewed said they got a kick out of what he does, and cant wait until the next week to see what he thinks of next
