Re: Is GB's seondary the worst in the NFL?

i can easily see the packers giving up 350-400 passing yards a game.

Well, I dont know if they're the worst but they curtaintly seem to be trying for last place. They haven't done anything to upgrade their secondary. They let go the only good player in that secondary (sharper). And the funniest part about it is that they dont seem to notice.

    Calm down.

Al Harris is a very good corner, no matter what you guys say - he broke up twenty one passes last year, and blanketed everyone he covered except Randy - including Nate, who only scored when covered by Ahmad Carroll or Joey Thomas.

Now, to the credit of all of you laughing hysterically, the secondary begins and ends with Harris. They probably won't have the worst secondary in football, but they will give up a lot of big plays - because Harris is a fast, but not explosively fast runner, and he will have no one putting a roof over his head.

However, watch out for Arturo Freeman. He has experience playing with the current Green Bay coordinator. If he decides to play big, they could finish in the top 25 in pass defense.

The secondary is porous, and those holes may turn into full blown rips, but don't be so cocky so soon.

Bah, we'll do well against them....but yes, a little dose of reality into the situation is good.

I don't know... the bengals and browns might be really bad! the bengals at least have some hope, what with the two good 2nd year guys, but i think tory james was a total fluke...

Tory James was not a fluke, he's a very good corner.

The Bengals have a very good, just unheralded secondary.

Tory James and Deltha O'Neal are darn good corners - the name of their third guy escapes me but he's a top 10 nickel corner in this game.

The Browns on the other hand..eh. Depends on how Gary Baxter plays w/o Ed Reed putting a roof over his head.

I believe the bengals have that rookie, or was a rookie last year, from maryland that started for them and played really well. Can't remember his name and am too lazy to look it up. His first name was madious or something like that. Anyways, cinci has a good secondary, they struggled against the run last year, not the pass.

The browns will be close to GB. They have baxter, who is close to al harris and like GB, they have basically nobody else.

Indy will be right up there again, unless they can somehow afford ty law.

It's just nice to know we won't be anywhere near the worst for a change.

Madieu williams was his name, from cinci. 2 sacks, 3 int's, 103 total tackles, 7 PD's and 1 TD. He is gonna be a good football player. He was moved back a forth between CB and safety last year too.

    103 tackles, that's what I'm talking about.

I like him a lot. I hope 'toine works with Freddy on tackling in training camp
