With teams cutting down to their final 53-man rosters, the top 10 players selected in this year's NFL draft have too much guaranteed cash coming their way and are generally expected to have an immediate impact.....

Re: Gauging impact of draft's top 10
7. Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota
• High impact: Had a very strong preseason. Minnesota running backs coach Eric Bieniemy has been getting him ready to carry a NFL load. He'll make his NFL debut against the Falcons.
LATE ROUND GEMS
5. Aundrae Allison, WR, Minnesota. A fifth-round pick from East Carolina could have an impact as a kick returner.

Good stuff Singer, I think Adrian has a good shot at Rookie of the Year. We'll see as finally the season is about to start. Soon all those preseason question will be answered.

They are really high on Jamaal Anderson, saying Atlanta "hit the jackpot". Hopefully the vikings don't regret there decision.

I said something in another thread but think it applies here......
Scott Studwell and his staff really do a great job in finding quality players for the scheme the coaches are trying to run.
They don't get enough credit for thier efforts IMHO.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

I agree with that 100%. Over the years, except for a few seasons, we have always drafted the talent to compete with anyone. We just have never put the coaching staff together that can get them over the hump."Marrdro" wrote:

Because of the young players on this squad I think we will see a bit of a up hill struggle early this year but I anticipate that will iron out a bit and we will get over the hump a bit as TJ and the rest of the young guys on this squad mature this year and get the experience that we all no they need."singersp" wrote:
